Website Analytics

This documentation site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits, so we can see which pages people actually read and which ones nobody can find. It is off until you say yes — nothing is stored in your browser unless you accept the small 🍪 prompt in the corner.
This page describes exactly what that collects, and lets you change your mind whenever you like.
Your current setting
Section titled “Your current setting”Analytics only runs on the published site, with JavaScript enabled. If you are seeing this text, nothing is being collected and there is nothing to change.
Turning it off also deletes the analytics cookies described below. The choice is remembered per browser (and per device), so you may see the prompt again on another one.
What it collects
Section titled “What it collects”Once you accept, Google Analytics records, for each page you open:
- The page address and title, and the referrer — the page or search that sent you here.
- An approximate location (city level at best), derived from your IP address.
- Your browser, operating system, device type and screen size.
- Timestamps, so visits can be grouped into sessions.
What it never collects
Section titled “What it never collects”- Nothing you type. There are no forms on this site, and no keystrokes are recorded.
- Nothing from your keyboard or from PolyKybdHost. This is website traffic only — the host application’s own reporting is a separate thing entirely, described in Usage Data & Privacy.
- No name, email, or account — the site has no login.
- Nothing at all if you decline, or before you answer.
Cookies
Section titled “Cookies”Accepting lets Google Analytics set two first-party cookies in your browser:

Both are set by the site you are on, not by a third-party domain, and neither is used for advertising. Their exact lifetime is set by Google Analytics — your browser’s developer tools will show the current expiry. Turning analytics off using the control above deletes both.
Before you answer
Section titled “Before you answer”Until you accept, the tag runs in Google’s Consent Mode with storage denied. In that state it sets no cookies and sends only anonymous, cookieless signals — no identifier that can follow you between visits. Declining keeps it that way permanently.
Where the data goes
Section titled “Where the data goes”Collected data is processed by Google as the analytics provider, under their terms. It is used only to understand documentation traffic. It is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone else.
